Site Engineer - Fitout Works

Summary: Seeking a Fit-out Engineer to coordinate interior works, supervise site personnel, manage health and safety, and prepare detailed cost estimates for architectural and interior fit-out projects. Highlights: 1. Coordinate interior works and ensure safety and quality standards 2. Supervise site personnel and manage project health and safety 3. Prepare detailed cost estimates and optimize project expenses **Job role will include but not be limited to:** * Liaising and coordinating with subcontractor's related to: * Carpentry, Gypsum partitions, Painting, Flooring, Ceiling systems, Doors and hardware * Ensure all interior works meet safety and quality standards * Coordinate with contractors and suppliers for repair and renovation activities * Supervision and coordination of site personnel and subcontractors * Reporting of all relevant site activities and managing the quality of work performed * Oversee and manage Health and Safety * Ensure site works are being performed in accordance to policies and plans * Arrange and deliver meetings as necessary to facilitate construction works * Receive and review shop drawings * Any other duties as directed by the Contracts manager * Review architectural and engineering drawings, specifications, and project documentation to understand the scope and requirements of Architectural/ Interior Fit\-out projects. * Quantify and take off materials required for Architectural/ Interior Fit\-out projects, considering specifications, finishes, and quality standards. * Source and request quotations from suppliers and subcontractors for materials, equipment, and services. * Analyze and compare supplier/subcontractor quotations to select the most cost\-effective options. * Calculate labor costs based on project requirements, manpower needs, and productivity rates. * Prepare detailed cost estimates, including material quantities, labor hours, equipment usage, subcontractor costs, and any other relevant expenses. * Collaborate with the project team, including architects, engineers, and contractors, to ensure accurate and comprehensive estimates. * Provide value engineering suggestions to optimize costs without compromising quality and functionality. * Maintain a database of historical cost data, including materials, labor rates, and subcontractor pricing, for reference in future estimates. * Continuously monitor and track project costs and update estimates as necessary during the bidding and negotiation stages.
