A Logistics Coordinator is the central point of contact for managing the movement of goods, ensuring the supply chain runs efficiently from suppliers to customers . The role combines operational tasks with communication and problem\-solving.
**Core Responsibilities**
While specific duties can vary by industry, the core responsibilities typically include:
**Managing Shipments \& Inventory**
* Coordinating inbound and outbound shipments (domestic and international) by booking freight, arranging transportation, and scheduling deliveries .
* Monitoring inventory levels and managing stock to ensure supply meets demand .
* Issuing purchase orders and planning orders based on production forecasts .
**Documentation \& Compliance**
* Preparing and reviewing essential shipping documents, such as bills of lading, packing lists, and customs paperwork for international shipments .
* Ensuring all activities comply with trade regulations and company policies .
**Communication \& Problem\-Solving**
* Acting as the primary liaison between suppliers, freight forwarders, warehouse teams, sales, and customers to ensure seamless communication .
* Tracking shipments and proactively resolving any delays, damages, or discrepancies (OS\&D) .
* Analyzing logistics data to identify inefficiencies and recommend cost\-saving measures .
