Regulate temperatures of ovens, broilers, grills, and salamanders. Remove food stored in freezers and place it in refrigerators to thaw. Ensure portions, presentation, and garnishes are properly prepared. Maintain food logs. Monitor the quality and quantity of food prepared. Indicate when assistance is needed during busy periods. Inform the chef of surplus food items to be used in daily specials. Inform Food and Beverage service staff of menu item removals and specials. Ensure food product quality. Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality and presentation standards, and food preparation checklists. Prepare cold food items. Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, motivating, and coaching employees; and serve as a role model. Follow and apply all brand safety policies and procedures; report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and any working conditions considered hazardous; complete required safety training and obtain necessary certifications. Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; and protect company assets. Anticipate and address customer service needs. Use clear, courteous communication in all interactions. Develop and maintain positive, productive working relationships with colleagues; work together and support each other to achieve common goals; listen and respond appropriately to other employees' concerns. Ensure compliance with quality requirements and standards. Be accustomed to standing, sitting, and moving for extended periods of time. Reach above the head and below the knees, including bending, twisting the body, pulling, and stooping. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds (11.4 kg) without assistance. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.
