Role involves field-based work and troubleshooting complex electrical faults. **Electronics Technician** **Job Summary** **We are hiring an Electronics Technician to support preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of elevators and related vertical transportation equipment. The role focuses on electronic systems such as controllers/VFDs, safety circuits, sensors, door operators, and wiring—working alongside mechanical technicians to keep units safe, reliable, and compliant.** **Key Responsibilities** * **Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections on elevators and related systems.** * **Troubleshoot and repair electrical/electronic faults (controller issues, VFD/drive faults, safety circuit interruptions, door operator faults, sensor failures, wiring problems).** * **Diagnose faults using multimeter, clamp meter, insulation tester (megger), and basic diagnostic tools/software when applicable.** * **Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and control schematics.** * **Use troubleshooting manuals to identify fault codes, follow diagnostic steps, and resolve issues efficiently.** * **Repair/replace electrical components: relays, contactors, power supplies, encoders, limit switches, safety switches, boards, connectors, and harnesses.** * **Support testing and verification after repairs, including safety checks and functional confirmation.** * **Document work done: service reports, fault findings, parts used, and recommendations.** * **Follow safety procedures, maintain good housekeeping, and comply with company and local standards.** * **Coordinate with operations/dispatch and communicate clearly with supervisors and customers.** **Requirements (Must Have)** * **Diploma/Technical certificate in Electronics / Electrical / Mechatronics (or equivalent experience).** * **Strong understanding of control circuits, electrical troubleshooting, and field wiring practices.** * **Strong ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and troubleshooting manuals.** * **Comfortable working on\-site, in machine rooms, and at heights (when required).** * **Valid driving license (if required for your operation).** **Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)** * **Experience with elevator controllers, drives/VFDs, door operators, and safety chains.** * **PLC basics (diagnostics is a plus).** * **Understanding of safe working procedures (lockout/tagout).** * **Ability to prepare spare\-parts requests and support maintenance planning.** **Working Conditions** * **Field\-based role (site visits across assigned locations).** * **Rotational on\-call / emergency response may be required.** * **Some night/weekend work depending on breakdowns and schedules.** **What We Offer** * **salary package (based on experience)** * **Overtime / on\-call allowance (if applicable)** * **Company tools and support** * **Growth opportunities in a fast\-moving technical team** Job Type: Full\-time Pay: QAR2,000\.00 \- QAR3,500\.00 per month Work Location: In person
