





**Full job description** **Position Summary:** The Chief Accountant / Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing and managing the company’s accounting operations, ensuring compliance with IFRS, Qatar Tax Laws, and statutory regulations. The role involves supervising daily accounting functions, financial reporting, audits, treasury management, and ensuring strong internal controls. The Chief Accountant will also play a key role in process standardization, SAP implementation, and team leadership. **Key Responsibilities:** **1\. Financial Accounting \& Reporting** Manage daily accounting operations including GL entries, AR/AP, payroll accounting, and petty cash control. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements as per IFRS. Ensure timely month\-end and year\-end closing and submission of management reports. Conduct financial analysis and variance reporting to support management decisions. **2\. Payroll \& Employee Compliance** Review attendance and ensure accurate salary calculation. Process WPS payroll submissions in line with labor law. Track and ensure timely renewal of employee QIDs, health cards, and other official documents. Coordinate with HR and PRO team for new employee onboarding, transfers, and documentation. **3\. Audit \& Statutory Compliance** Coordinate with internal and external auditors for statutory and internal audits. Ensure compliance with Qatar tax, ICV, WHT (if applicable), and other statutory requirements. Timely payments of utility payments, Maintain complete audit files, documentation, and regulatory schedules. Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets. **4\. Treasury \& Cash Flow Management** Monitor daily cash flow, bank balances, and prepare cash forecasts. Manage bank reconciliations and proper allocation of funds. Support in handling LCs, LGs, bank facilities, term loans, and bank documentation. Ensure timely utility and vendor payments to maintain business continuity. **5\. Budgeting \& Cost Control** Preparation of annual budgets and rolling forecasts. Monitor budget vs. actual and highlight cost variance trends. Work with departmental heads to optimize costs and enhance profitability. **6\. Inventory, Costing \& Project Financials** Oversee inventory valuation, stock movement accounting, and costing processes. Support projects, sales, and operations with cost, pricing, and margin analysis. Ensure periodic stock verification and reconciliation. **7\. Accounts Receivable \& Payable Management** Oversee customer invoicing, collections, and vendor payment cycles. Review aging reports and ensure timely follow\-up on receivables. Maintain strong commercial relationships with clients, suppliers, banks, and auditors. **8\. Insurance \& Company Document Renewals** Renew company trade licenses, computer cards, chamber certificates, and other corporate documents on time. Handle employee medical \& life insurance renewals and maintain records. Ensure warehouse, asset, and other operational insurance policies are renewed before expiry. **9\. Leadership \& Process Improvement** Supervise, mentor, and evaluate performance of accounting staff. Drive SAP process standardization and automation improvements. Maintain accurate financial documentation and secure record\-keeping systems. **Qualifications \& Skills Required:** Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Professional certification (CPA/ACCA/CA/CMA) is a strong advantage.7–10 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a senior role in Qatar/GCC. Strong knowledge of IFRS, Qatar Labor \& Tax Regulations, WPS, and statutory compliance. Experience in SAP (FI/CO module preferred) and advanced MS Excel. Excellent analytical skills, leadership ability, and decision\-making capability. Ability to thrive under pressure and meet strict reporting deadlines. Strong communication and coordination skills for cross\-departmental workflow alignment. Job Type: Full\-time Pay: QAR10,000\.00 \- QAR12,000\.00 per month
