Our bartenders demonstrate craft-specific expertise and professional skills while staying current with emerging trends, offering local specialties, and adapting to guests’ needs. This role extends beyond beverage creation and remains a profession where guest service is paramount. Bartenders must apply their knowledge and expertise to make the bar welcoming and fully functional. They must be able to communicate and collaborate effectively with the entire hotel team—and with the broader community—while anticipating and responding to guests’ needs. It is essential to be genuinely committed to guest service and attentive to detail—from the moment money changes hands at the bar, to the quality of beverages served, to the advice provided to guests. Regardless of your role, certain fundamentals are critical to success: creating a safe workplace, adhering to company policies and procedures or professional confidentiality. Additionally, it is important to uphold company values through personal appearance, including proper uniform standards. Bartenders must remain standing and active for extended periods (standing, sitting, walking…), and must physically engage in tasks such as moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling objects weighing up to 25 pounds (11.4 kg) unassisted; reaching items overhead or on the floor, which may require bending and torso rotation. Employees must execute all such tasks flawlessly. Only then can we consistently satisfy our guests and ensure our company’s continued prosperity.
