**Position :** Lead Electrical Engineer – Oil \& Gas (Brownfield Projects) **Location:** Doha, Qatar **Salary:** QAR 20,000 (All\-Inclusive Package) **Working Days/Hours:** 6 days per week, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM **Contract Duration:** 24 Months (Extendable) ***About the Role*** Our client, a leading engineering consultancy/EPC company in the Oil \& Gas sector, is seeking a highly experienced **Lead Electrical Engineer** to oversee multidisciplinary electrical engineering works for both onshore and offshore brownfield projects. The role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to manage teams of Senior Engineers, Engineers, and Designers while ensuring compliance with quality, productivity, and budgetary requirements. ***Key Responsibilities*** * Lead, supervise, and mentor a team of Sr. Engineers, Engineers, and Designers in the Electrical discipline. * Approve and manage all technical aspects of electrical engineering scope for assigned projects. * Plan, schedule, and control discipline work with respect to quality, productivity, and budget. * Ensure technical accuracy, scope management, and compliance with local and international standards. * Provide expert technical guidance, advice, and judgment on engineering challenges. * Manage hours and material budgets for assigned team(s) and scope of work. * Oversee multidisciplinary packages including cathodic protection, subsea cable design, and other specialized systems. * Review and approve design deliverables, specifications, and drawings. * Coordinate closely with other disciplines, construction, and commissioning teams. ***Qualifications \& Experience*** * Bachelor’s Degree (B.Sc. Eng.) or equivalent in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university. * **15–20 years** of relevant professional experience in Oil \& Gas (offshore \& onshore), EPC, or consultancy roles. * **Minimum 10 years** of hands\-on experience in **brownfield modifications** of oil \& gas or similar facilities (offshore experience mandatory). * At least **5 years in a Lead/Supervisory role** supervising electrical engineering teams. * Strong familiarity with IEC, NFPA, Shell DEPs, and other local/international standards. * **GRADE A Certification** from MMUP (Qatar) is an advantage. * Proficiency with industry tools/software such as **Smart Plant Electrical, ETAP, PSCAD**. * Strong knowledge of upstream and downstream Oil \& Gas/petrochemical operating principles. * Experience in site construction and commissioning is an advantage. ***Skills \& Competencies*** * Proven leadership and team management skills. * Strong technical judgment and problem\-solving ability. * Excellent communication and coordination skills. * Thorough knowledge of industry codes, standards, and engineering practices. ***Why Join?*** This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a world\-class Oil \& Gas project in Qatar.
