Here are the key skills required for the role:** * Knowledge of Fire Alarm Systems * System Types: Understanding different types of fire alarm systems (conventional, addressable, hybrid). * Components: Knowledge of components like detectors, panels, smoke alarms, heat detectors, horns, strobes, and notification appliances. * Wiring \& Circuitry: Proficiency in wiring methods and understanding electrical circuits. * Installation and Maintenance Experience * System Setup: Ability to install and configure new fire alarm systems. * Routine Maintenance: Knowledge of preventive maintenance tasks, including testing, inspection, and troubleshooting of fire alarms. * Repairs: Diagnose and repair faults in fire alarm systems. * Troubleshooting and System Diagnostics * Fault Diagnosis: Capable of identifying and diagnosing faults within fire alarm systems, whether in components (detectors, control panels) or in the wiring/system connectivity. * Repair Skills: Skilled in repairing malfunctioning fire alarm systems, whether addressing hardware or software issues. * Testing: Proficient in performing routine tests to verify system functionality, including smoke detector tests, system signal transmission, and alarm activation tests. * Troubleshooting Control Panels: Expertise in diagnosing control panel malfunctions and correcting issues such as faulty circuits or communication failures. * Professionalism: Strong communication skills, customer\-oriented attitude, and professional behavior when interacting with clients and team members. * Testing \& Inspection Skills * Knowledge of relevant standards and codes, such as NFPA 72 (National Fire Alarm and Signaling Code). * Performing routine tests and inspections of fire alarm systems to ensure they comply with local and national codes. * Documenting testing results and maintenance actions. 1\.
