Troubleshoot electrical and control issues at various stages Job Description – PLC \& Compactor Control Panel Technician Job Title: PLC \& Compactor Control Panel Technician Industry: Industrial Machinery – Waste Compactors (Stationary \& Truck Mounted) Company Overview We are a manufacturer of stationery and truck\-mounted waste compactors with a strong fabrication and assembly team. We are looking for a skilled and hands\-on technician responsible for the installation, wiring, troubleshooting, and maintenance of PLC\-based control systems used in hydraulic compactor equipment. Key Responsibilities Assemble, wire, and test electrical control panels for waste compactors. Install and connect PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, motor starters, relays, sensors, limit switches, and solenoid valves. Perform machine wiring and field installation for stationary and truck\-mounted compactors. Load PLC and HMI programs and carry out minor modifications to ladder logic (timers, interlocks, I/O adjustments). Diagnose and repair faults in PLC control systems (Siemens / Schneider / Mitsubishi / Delta / Allen\-Bradley or similar). Configure machine operating sequences such as forward/reverse cycles, compression timing, and safety interlocks. Ensure proper integration of electrical controls with the hydraulic power unit and compactor ram operation. Conduct panel testing, loop checking, trial runs, and commissioning. Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems, control panels, and safety devices (Emergency Stops, overloads, etc.). Troubleshoot electrical and control issues during assembly, testing, and at customer sites. Follow electrical safety procedures including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO). Technical Requirements ITI / Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, or related field. Minimum 4–8 years hands\-on experience in: Control panel wiring and assembly PLC\-based industrial machines Machine electrical troubleshooting Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
