Mentor junior engineers and contribute to architectural discussions **About the role** We’re hiring a pragmatic Software Engineer to design and deliver backend services that power customer\-facing products. You’ll own features end\-to\-end, write maintainable code, and ship reliable systems with an emphasis on quality and performance. What you’ll do * Build and maintain backend APIs and microservices. * Deliver clean, tested code; participate in code reviews. * Collaborate with product, frontend, and DevOps to ship features. * Improve performance, scalability, and system reliability. * Troubleshoot incidents and lead root\-cause analyses. * Mentor junior engineers and contribute to architecture discussions. Requirements * 3\+ years professional experience (backend or full\-stack). * Strong in one or more: Java, Python, Node.js/TypeScript, Go, or C\#. * Experience with REST APIs, relational/NoSQL databases, and message queues. * Cloud and container experience (AWS/Azure/GCP, Docker; Kubernetes preferred). * Automated testing and CI/CD experience. * Clear communicator, pragmatic problem\-solver, and team player. * Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. English required; Arabic a plus. Eligible to work in Qatar. Nice\-to\-have * Event\-driven systems (Kafka/RabbitMQ), observability tooling, fintech or SaaS experience.
