**Job Purpose:** To oversee and perform all technical tasks related to the **switching, commissioning, and maintenance** of high\-voltage **transmission substations** up to **400kV**, ensuring safety, reliability, and compliance with KAHRAMAA/GCC standards. **Key Responsibilities:** * Perform **operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting** of transmission substations (up to 400kV). * Supervise and execute **switching procedures**, ensuring system safety and reliability. * Coordinate and lead **commissioning activities** including testing, inspections, and energization of substation equipment. * Monitor and maintain **protection and control systems**, transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers, and associated equipment. * Prepare and maintain **technical documentation**, reports, and records of operations and incidents. * Ensure compliance with **KAHRAMAA regulations**, **HSE standards**, and international best practices. * Liaise with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure timely and quality execution of works. * Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues with minimal downtime. * Provide **technical guidance** to junior engineers and field technicians. **Qualifications \& Experience:** * Bachelor’s degree (B.E/B.Tech) in **Electrical Engineering**. * Minimum **7 years of experience** in **transmission substation switching, commissioning, and maintenance**. * Experience with **KAHRAMAA substations** in Qatar or **GCC** utility projects is **mandatory**. * Sound knowledge of **substation protection, SCADA systems**, and high\-voltage equipment. * Familiar with **electrical safety standards**, testing procedures, and commissioning protocols. * Valid **Qatar NOC** required for local candidates. **Skills Required:** * Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills * Excellent communication and documentation abilities * Ability to work independently and under pressure * Strong understanding of electrical schematics and layout drawings * Knowledge of relevant software (e.g., ETAP, AutoCAD, SCADA interfaces) Job Type: Full\-time Pay: From QAR6,000\.00 per month
