Interact with customers and explain repairs clearly **Responsibilities** **Technical responsibilites** * Identify and diagnose electrical problems in vehicles, including issues with lighting, ignition, charging, and electronic control systems. * Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to pinpoint the root causes of electrical malfunctions. * Repair or replace faulty electrical components such as alternators, starters, batteries, wiring harnesses, fuses, relays, sensors, and switches. * Install and integrate new electrical components, accessories, and aftermarket devices (e.g., audio systems, alarms, GPS systems) into vehicles. * Use specialized software and tools to diagnose and troubleshoot problems related to vehicle electronic control units (ECUs) and onboard computer systems. * Perform regular maintenance tasks such as cleaning connections, checking battery health, and inspecting wiring integrity. * High school diploma or equivalent. * Formal training or certification in automotive electrical systems is preferred. **General Responsibilities** * Conduct routine checks and inspections of electrical systems to identify potential issues before they become major problems. * Understand and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams to identify circuits and components. * Ensure that all electrical repairs and installations adhere to safety standards and regulations. * Maintain accurate records of diagnostic procedures, repairs, and parts used. * Interact with customers to understand their concerns and explain the diagnosis and * recommended repairs in a clear and understandable manner. * Proven experience as an auto electrician or similar role. * Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, multimeters, and other specialized equipment. * Strong knowledge of vehicle electrical systems, wiring diagrams, and components. * Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and team members. * Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations related to automotive electrical work.
