**Job Title:** Laundry Manager **Location:** Qatar **Department:** Operations/ Facility Services **Reports To:** Brand Manager / CEO **Job Purpose:** The Laundry Manager is responsible for overseeing all laundry operations, ensuring high\-quality washing and finishing of garments, linens, and uniforms. The role includes managing staff, maintaining machinery, optimizing detergent and chemical usage, and ensuring compliance with hygiene, safety, and sustainability standards. **Key Responsibilities:** **Operations \& Process Management:** * Supervise and coordinate day\-to\-day laundry operations including washing, drying, ironing, and finishing. * Ensure timely processing and delivery of laundry items while maintaining quality standards. * Monitor workflow and optimize processes for efficiency and cost control. **People Management:** * Lead, train, and motivate laundry staff to achieve productivity and quality targets. * Schedule shifts, manage attendance, and resolve staff\-related issues. * Ensure compliance with company policies, labor law, and health \& safety regulations. **Machinery \& Maintenance:** * Oversee the operation of laundry machinery and equipment. * Coordinate with maintenance teams for preventive and corrective servicing of machines. * Ensure safe and efficient usage of equipment to reduce downtime and extend lifespan. **Detergent \& Chemical Management:** * Monitor and control the use of detergents, chemicals, and cleaning agents. * Work with suppliers to ensure cost\-effective procurement and stock management. * Ensure correct chemical dosing and safe handling by staff. **Quality \& Compliance:** * Implement and monitor hygiene, safety, and sustainability standards. * Regularly inspect laundry output for quality assurance. * Maintain records, reports, and audits as required by management or authorities. **Qualifications \& Skills:** * Diploma/Degree in Hotel Management, Facility Management, or related field (preferred). * Minimum 5 years of experience in laundry operations, including at least 2 years in a supervisory/managerial role. * Strong knowledge of commercial laundry machinery, processes, and maintenance. * Understanding of detergents, chemicals, and their correct applications. * Excellent people management, leadership, and training skills. * Strong organizational and problem\-solving abilities. * Good communication skills (English required, Arabic/Hindi/Urdu an advantage). **Working Conditions:** * Based in Qatar with potential for long working hours depending on business needs. * Fast\-paced environment requiring hands\-on supervision.
