Support continuous improvement in workplace safety culture **HSE Officer – Road Maintenance** **Location:** Doha, Qatar **Employment Type:** Full‑time **Job Summary** We are seeking a highly experienced **Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Officer** with a strong background in **road maintenance operations**. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining HSE standards, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory requirements, and promoting a safe working environment across all road maintenance activities. **Key Responsibilities** * Develop, implement, and monitor HSE policies and procedures tailored to road maintenance operations. * Conduct regular HSE meetings with the Ooredoo HSE team to ensure compliance with requirements. * Deliver HSE inductions and training sessions for staff and contractors working on road projects. * Investigate incidents, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions. * Submit required documentation and reports to management and regulatory bodies. * Ensure compliance with all Ooredoo HSE requirements and road safety regulations. * Oversee and manage: * **Traffic Diversion Plans (TDP)** – procedures, requirements, and applicable policies. * **Road Closure Permits** – requirements, procedures, and supporting documentation. * **Hot Work Permits** – requirements, procedures, and necessary supporting documents, particularly for works carried out along roadside areas. * Support continuous improvement in workplace safety culture. * Must be interviewed and approved by the Ooredoo HSE department. * Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure safe and efficient road maintenance operations. **Qualifications** * Diploma or Certificate in HSE (IOSH Managing Safely, NEBOSH IGC, or equivalent). * Minimum of 7 years’ experience in HSE roles, with at least 3 years in **road maintenance projects**. * Strong working knowledge of relevant HSE standards and practices, including traffic safety and roadside work protocols. * Proven ability to manage, direct, and implement HSE procedures including fire safety, incident investigation, reporting, occupational health, and hazard control. * Excellent communication and leadership skills. * Ability to work collaboratively with engineering, maintenance, and government authorities.
