Coordinate with various teams for smooth plant operations Responsibilities Maintain, inspect, and improve mechanical equipment used in steel production, such as conveyors, pumps, compressors, gearboxes, rolling mill components, cranes, and cooling systems. Diagnose equipment failures, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions. Support planned and unplanned maintenance activities to reduce downtime and improve plant availability. Review technical drawings, specifications, and equipment manuals to support repair and modification work. Coordinate with production, maintenance, quality, and safety teams to ensure smooth plant operations. Monitor mechanical performance and recommend upgrades to improve efficiency, reliability, and safety. Assist with installation, commissioning, alignment, and testing of new machinery and plant modifications. Prepare reports, maintenance records, and technical documentation. Ensure compliance with safety standards, company procedures, and applicable industry regulations. Required qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. 3–5 years of experience in a steel plant, heavy industry, or manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of rotating equipment, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, fabrication, and mechanical maintenance. Familiarity with preventive maintenance systems and troubleshooting methods.
