Adjust temperatures of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters. Retrieve food from freezers and thaw it in refrigerators. Portion and plate food appropriately. Maintain food records. Monitor the quality and quantity of prepared food. Communicate necessary support during peak periods. Inform the chef of leftover ingredients for use in daily specials. Notify food and beverage service staff of special menus or out-of-stock items. Ensure ingredient quality. Prepare food in accordance with recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and cooking checklists. Prepare cold foods. Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees, serving as a role model. Comply with all company safety and security policies and procedures. Report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and hazardous work conditions to managers. Ensure uniforms and personal appearance are clean and professional. Anticipate and respond to guest service needs; communicate clearly and professionally with others. Listen to fellow employees’ concerns and respond appropriately; ensure expected quality and standards are consistently upheld. Stand, sit, walk, bend, twist, pull, squat, and reach overhead and below knee level for extended periods. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance. Perform other reasonable duties as requested by supervisors. Perform other reasonable duties as required by management. Preferred Qualifications Education: Degree from a technical, trade, or vocational school. Related Work Experience: Minimum of 3 years of related work experience.
