Summary: Seeking an experienced Drainage Advisor to provide expert technical, strategic, and financial advice, support leadership, and oversee wastewater operations in Qatar. Highlights: 1. Oversee operational and maintenance delivery related to water and wastewater **Drainage Advisor** **Location:** Qatar **Job Type:** Long\-term **Requirements** * Bachelor’s Degree or higher qualification in Engineering or a related discipline. * Degree obtained from **North America, Western Europe, or Australia**. * Accreditation from the **Institute of Asset Management (IAM)** or equivalent is preferred. * Chartered Membership in a relevant discipline (e.g., Engineering) is an advantage. * Minimum **30 years of total professional experience**, including: * At least **10 years of experience in the wastewater industry**. * At least **5 years of experience in an Operations and Maintenance organization**. * Proven experience in undertaking similar assignments and demonstrating the required technical competencies. * Extensive knowledge and experience in the wastewater industry. * In\-depth knowledge of Operations \& Maintenance, Project Management, Contract Management, and/or Financial Management. * Strong understanding of Health \& Safety requirements, Quality Assurance, and Quality Control procedures. * Experience working within multidisciplinary organizations, preferably in the Middle East. **Key Responsibilities** * Provide advice, support, and leadership in implementing the DNOMD Vision, Mission, Values, and Strategic Objectives. * Perform duties and initiatives as directed by the DNOMD Manager and Asset Affairs Director. * Interpret, explain, and communicate applicable laws, regulations, and requirements affecting DNOMD operations. * Ensure the highest standards of professional conduct, ethics, and integrity. * Provide expert technical, strategic, and financial advice to the DNO\&M Manager and Asset Affairs Director on all aspects of the DNO\&M business in Qatar. * Ensure compliance with the Enterprise Drainage Asset Management System (EDAMS), Enterprise Asset Management System (EAMS), and other DNOMD processes and systems, while identifying and eliminating redundant activities. * Advise and/or manage PMC(s), as directed, to ensure operational risks are controlled, contractual benefits are realized, and governance and regulatory requirements are met. * Evaluate policies and programs, identify improvement areas, and direct the implementation of initiatives to enhance DNOMD performance. * Coordinate and align activities across various sections to support business transformation. * Oversee operational and maintenance delivery related to water treatment and wastewater treatment functions. **Preferred Competencies** * Wastewater Operations and Maintenance Management. * Asset Management and Business Transformation. * Project, Contract, and Financial Management. * Risk Management and Regulatory Compliance. * Health, Safety, Quality Assurance, and Quality Control. * Strategic Planning and Leadership. * Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. * Experience in the Middle East region is highly desirable.
