Supervision of Large-Scale and Complex Projects **Engineering Director** **Purpose of the Role:** To lead and develop the company’s engineering strategy, supervise high-efficiency project execution, and ensure compliance with technical, quality, and safety standards—supporting the company’s objectives in the Qatari market. **Responsibilities:** * Formulate and oversee implementation of the engineering strategy aligned with company goals. * Manage engineering teams (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Software—depending on sector). * Supervise project planning and execution, ensuring timely delivery within budget. * Review engineering designs and ensure compliance with international and local specifications and standards. * Enhance engineering processes and improve performance and productivity. * Manage engineering budgets and monitor costs. * Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards. * Coordinate with government entities, consultants, and contractors in Qatar. * Assess technical risks and develop mitigation plans. * Support innovation and adoption of modern technologies in engineering. * Prepare and submit technical reports to senior management. **Qualifications and Requirements:** * Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field); Master’s degree preferred. * Minimum 10–15 years of engineering experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role. * Experience managing large-scale and complex projects. * Strong knowledge of international and local engineering standards in Qatar. * Excellent leadership and management skills. * Proficiency in English (Arabic is an added advantage). * Professional certifications such as PMP or PE are preferred. **Required Skills:** * Technical leadership and team management * Strategic planning and project management * Analysis and problem-solving * Risk management * Effective communication **Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):** * Project delivery on time and within budget * Execution quality and standards compliance * Cost reduction and efficiency improvement * Safety performance and incident reduction * Customer satisfaction **Working Conditions:** * Full-time employment * Work environment requiring travel between offices and project sites * Travel within and outside Qatar may be required * High level of responsibility and decision-making authority Employment Type: Permanent Salary: QAR 50,000.00 per month Work Location: On-site
