Shipping Coordinator

Summary: This role involves coordinating and tracking shipments, optimizing logistics, and ensuring compliance for efficient supply chain operations. Highlights: 1. Work with cross-functional teams and manage multiple deadlines Responsibilities Schedule and track daily shipments from warehouse to customers and branch locations; monitor fulfillment milestones and update status in the TMS/ERP system. Communicate with carriers, freight forwarders, and couriers to arrange pickups, optimize routes, and negotiate rates and service levels. Prepare shipping paperwork, including bills of lading, packing lists, commercial invoices, and customs documentation as required. Verify orders for accuracy (quantities, SKUs, addresses), ensure correct packaging, labeling, and documentation; resolve discrepancies with internal teams or customers. Maintain shipment records, process proofs of delivery, and reconcile any billing or invoicing issues with carriers. Monitor and report key metrics (on\-time delivery, transit times, freight costs, damage/claims) and drive continuous improvement. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, import/export requirements, and company policies. Coordinate with warehouse staff on loading, staging, and inventory control; support cycle count activities as needed. Handle customer inquiries regarding shipment status, delays, or damages; provide proactive communication and issue resolution. Required qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, business, or equivalent experience 1–3 years of shipping/logistics experience; knowledge of incoterms, bills of lading, and carrier contracts. Proficiency with MS Offices and Transportation Management System (TMS) or ERP. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize in a fast\-paced environment. Problem\-solving ability, proactive in identifying issues and implementing solutions.
