JOB DESCRIPTION: FACTORY IN\-CHARGE \& QUALITY CONTROLLER Position: Factory In\-Charge \& Quality Controller (Male) Department: Production / Manufacturing / Quality Assurance Reports To: Factory Manager / Operations Manager Employment Type: Full\-Time Industry: Garment Manufacturing / Textiles / Apparel Gender Preference: Male (as per factory accommodation/work environment requirements) **JOB SUMMARY** The Factory In\-Charge \& Quality Controller is a dual\-role position responsible for overseeing daily garment production operations while ensuring strict adherence to quality standards. This role combines hands\-on factory floor management with systematic quality control procedures to maintain efficient production flow, minimize defects, and deliver products that meet both client specifications and international quality benchmarks. **KEY RESPONSIBILITIES** A. FACTORY IN\-CHARGE DUTIES: 1\. Production Management: Oversee daily production activities across cutting, sewing, finishing, and packing sections. Ensure production targets are met as per schedule and order requirements. Monitor machine efficiency and operator productivity. Implement production planning and workflow optimization. 2\. Team Supervision: Supervise production staff, line leaders, and helpers. Conduct daily briefings and allocate tasks. Monitor attendance, overtime, and shift schedules. Identify training needs and coordinate skill development. 3\. Resource Management: Manage raw material inventory (fabrics, threads, trims, accessories). Ensure proper maintenance of machinery and equipment. Control wastage and optimize material utilization. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized factory environment. 4\. Reporting \& Documentation: Prepare daily production reports. Maintain records of machine downtime, absenteeism, and output. Report to senior management on production status and challenges. B. QUALITY CONTROLLER DUTIES: 1\. Quality Assurance Implementation: Develop and implement QC checkpoints across production stages. Conduct inline inspections during cutting, sewing, and finishing. Perform final random inspections (AQL standards) before shipment. Maintain quality documentation and inspection records. 2\. Defect Prevention \& Control: Identify root causes of defects and implement corrective actions. Work with production team to reduce rejection rates. Conduct quality awareness sessions for workers. Monitor stitch quality, measurements, fabric flaws, and finishing. 3\. Standards Compliance: Ensure products meet client specifications, tech packs, and sample approvals. Adhere to international quality standards (ISO, AQL levels). Conduct shade matching, size measurements, and functional checks. Manage customer rejections and implement preventive measures. 4\. Supplier \& Material Quality: Inspect incoming fabrics and trims for quality. Report material defects to procurement department. Coordinate with suppliers for quality\-related issues. **QUALIFICATIONS \& EXPERIENCE** Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering, Garment Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related field. Certification in Quality Control/Assurance preferred. Experience: Minimum 5–7 years in garment manufacturing/production. At least 3 years in a supervisory role (Factory In\-Charge, Production Supervisor). Proven QC experience in garment industry (inline \& final inspection). Experience in Qatar or GCC garment industry preferred.
