1\. Demonstrate strong technical knowledge and skills that are directly relatable to the center's work, by providing examples of previous contributions to research or consulting projects in one or more of the following areas: transport engineering, urban transport planning, modelling and simulation tools, multi\-modal transportation, mode choice models and discrete event simulation, transportation policy (targeting adoption of autonomous cars, public transportation, reducing automobile dependency), socio\-economic and environmental assessment of transportation systems and policies or other related areas. 2\. Disseminate research results through internationally recognized peer\-reviewed high\-impact journals, educational programs, and presentations. 3\. Establish leadership in building engagement and partnerships within the profession. 4\. Apply and secure external funding for research activities related to requirements of QTTSC. 5\. Engage in outstanding scholarly activities leading to national, regional, and international recognition. 6\. Promote partnerships and support collaboration with external organizations inside and outside Qatar. 7\. Conduct specialized workshops such as short courses or seminars on the areas of expertise. 8\. Teach a minimum of one course per academic semester. 9\. Supporting the Center activities including awareness, outreach, and community engagement. 10\. Conduct transportation studies and evaluate the transport aspects of new and existing developments in support of QTTSC activities, utilizing appropriate transport modeling software 11\. Identify and cultivate opportunities for industry\-sponsored research and consultancy projects, aligning with QTTSC’s strategic priorities and addressing the local transportation needs. Qualifications Ph.D. degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field from an internationally recognized university with an outstanding research profile in transportation planning/engineering and must demonstrate strong knowledge in some of the following areas: transport engineering, urban transport planning, modelling and simulation tools in transport engineering, multi\-modal transportation, mode choice models and discrete event simulation, transportation policy (targeting adoption of autonomous cars, public transportation, reducing automobile dependency), socio\-economic and environmental assessment of transportation systems and policies or other related areas, which is tailored to the needs of QTTSC, Qatar University and the State of Qatar.
