Collaborate with RF engineers and optimization teams **Job Summary** The Drive Test Engineer plays a key role within the **telecommunications / network engineering team**, responsible for assessing and optimizing the performance of wireless radio networks. This role involves conducting field\-based drive tests, collecting and analyzing network data, identifying performance issues, and working with cross\-functional teams to improve coverage, capacity, and overall network quality. **Key Responsibilities** * Plan, schedule, and execute **drive tests** using industry\-standard tools to measure wireless network performance across assigned routes. * Collect, log, and post\-process network measurement data (e.g., signal strength, quality metrics) for 2G/3G/4G/LTE/5G networks. * Analyze drive test results to identify coverage gaps, performance degradations, interference issues, handover problems, and other RF faults. * Prepare detailed technical reports and present findings, visualizations, and actionable recommendations to stakeholders. * Collaborate closely with RF engineers, network planners, optimization teams, and field technicians to implement improvements and validate changes. * Support verification and acceptance testing for newly commissioned cell sites and network enhancements. * Assist in troubleshooting and resolving customer complaints related to network coverage and quality. * Maintain and calibrate drive test equipment, software, and vehicle hardware; ensure data integrity and adherence to safety standards. * Stay current with evolving wireless technologies, tools, KPIs, and industry best practices. **Required Skills \& Qualifications** * **Bachelor’s degree** in Telecommunications, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or related technical field. * Proven experience in telecom drive testing, RF performance analysis, or network optimization. * Proficiency with drive test tools and software such as **TEMS Investigation, Nemo Outdoor, Actix Analyzer, XCAL**, or equivalent. * Strong understanding of wireless technologies (GSM, UMTS, LTE, 5G) and RF principles. * Excellent analytical skills and ability to interpret complex data sets to make recommendations. * Effective communication skills (written and verbal) to present insights to technical and non\-technical audiences. * Valid driving license and willingness to work in field environments. * Comfortable working independently and as part of a team. **Preferred Qualifications** * Prior experience with **RF optimization activities** and multi\-vendor environments. * Familiarity with mapping tools (like MapInfo) and post\-processing analytics. * Knowledge of scripting or data processing tools for automated reporting. * Certifications in wireless technologies or drive test methodologies. **Working Conditions** * Field\-based role requiring frequent travel and extended periods in test vehicles. * Exposure to outdoor environments, urban and rural routes, and varying weather conditions. * Must adhere to safety protocols while operating vehicles and technical equipme Job Type: Full\-time Work Location: In person
