Develop and mentor high-performing, collaborative technology teams Job Overview Pretzel Soluciones is seeking an experienced and strategic **Enterprise Software Director** to lead the organization’s enterprise software strategy, applications, and technology transformation initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing a clear software roadmap that supports business objectives, overseeing enterprise applications and platforms, and leading technical teams through the design, implementation, integration, and continuous improvement of business\-critical systems. This is a senior leadership position requiring a combination of **technology expertise, business understanding, strategic planning, and people leadership**. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with executive stakeholders, technology teams, software vendors, and business units to ensure that enterprise technology investments deliver measurable business value. Key Responsibilities * Develop and execute the company's enterprise software and applications strategy in alignment with business objectives. * Lead the planning, implementation, integration, and ongoing improvement of enterprise applications and software platforms. * Establish technology roadmaps, architecture standards, governance frameworks, and development priorities. * Oversee software development, systems integration, application support, and technology transformation initiatives. * Evaluate enterprise software solutions, platforms, and technology vendors and make recommendations to senior management. * Manage relationships with external software vendors, implementation partners, and technology service providers. * Lead and develop software engineering, application, architecture, and technology teams. * Establish appropriate KPIs, service standards, development practices, and operational processes. * Ensure enterprise applications are secure, scalable, reliable, and aligned with organizational requirements. * Partner with business leaders to identify technology opportunities and translate business requirements into effective software solutions. * Oversee technology budgets, resource planning, project priorities, licensing, and vendor costs. * Drive modernization initiatives involving cloud platforms, APIs, system integrations, automation, data, and emerging technologies. * Promote Agile, DevOps, continuous improvement, and modern software delivery practices where appropriate. * Ensure appropriate cybersecurity, data protection, business continuity, and technology governance practices are incorporated into enterprise systems. * Provide regular updates to executive leadership regarding technology strategy, project progress, risks, budgets, and business outcomes. * Mentor senior technical staff and build a high\-performing, collaborative technology organization. Required Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in **Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field**. * **10\+ years of progressive experience** in enterprise software, technology, IT, software engineering, or enterprise applications. * At least **5 years of experience in a management or senior leadership position** overseeing software, applications, engineering, or technology teams. * Demonstrated experience developing and executing an enterprise technology or software strategy. * Strong understanding of enterprise architecture, software development, system integration, APIs, databases, and modern application platforms. * Experience managing enterprise applications such as **ERP, CRM, HRIS, finance, supply\-chain, or other business\-critical platforms**. * Experience with cloud technologies and modern enterprise environments, including platforms such as **Microsoft Azure or AWS**. * Strong understanding of software delivery methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, DevOps, and CI/CD practices. * Demonstrated experience managing technology vendors, software licensing, budgets, and external implementation partners. * Strong understanding of information security, data protection, access management, and technology governance. * Excellent strategic thinking, analytical, decision\-making, and problem\-solving skills. * Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical matters to executive and non\-technical stakeholders. * Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage large\-scale technology initiatives. Preferred Qualifications * Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline. * Experience leading enterprise digital transformation or large\-scale software modernization programs. * Experience with **SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce, ServiceNow**, or comparable enterprise platforms. * Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks such as **TOGAF**. * Professional certifications such as **CISSP, ITIL, PMP, PRINCE2, TOGAF, AWS, or Microsoft Azure certifications** are advantageous. * Experience working with organizations in Qatar or the wider GCC region. * Experience operating in multicultural and multinational environments. * Knowledge of emerging technologies, including **AI, automation, data analytics, cloud computing, and AI\-enabled enterprise applications**, is an advantage.
