Job Summary The Draftsman – Carpentry Division is responsible for preparing detailed technical drawings and shop drawings for carpentry and joinery works. The role supports project execution by translating design concepts, architectural drawings, and site measurements into accurate production drawings for manufacturing and installation. Key Responsibilities * Prepare **detailed shop drawings** for carpentry and joinery works including doors, wardrobes, cabinets, wall paneling, kitchen units, and custom furniture. * Interpret **architectural, structural, and interior design drawings** and convert them into workable carpentry drawings. * Coordinate with **project managers, engineers, and site supervisors** to ensure drawings meet project requirements. * Prepare **cutting lists and material specifications** for production. * Revise drawings based on **client comments, site conditions, and consultant feedback**. * Ensure drawings comply with **project specifications, standards, and quality requirements**. * Conduct **site visits when required** to verify measurements and installation conditions. * Maintain organized records of **drawings, revisions, and documentation**. * Coordinate with the **production team/workshop** to clarify technical details. Qualifications * Diploma or Degree in **Drafting, Civil Engineering, Interior Design, or related field**. * Minimum **3–5 years of experience** in carpentry/joinery drafting. * Experience working with **interior fit\-out or joinery companies** is preferred. Technical Skills * Proficiency in **AutoCAD**. * Knowledge of **joinery detailing and woodworking techniques**. * Ability to prepare **shop drawings, section details, and assembly drawings**. * Familiarity with **material specifications such as MDF, plywood, laminates, veneer, and hardware fittings**. * Basic knowledge of **3D software (SketchUp / 3ds Max)** is an advantage. Soft Skills * Strong attention to detail. * Good communication and coordination skills. * Ability to work under deadlines and manage drawing revisions efficiently. * Problem\-solving ability related to fabrication and installation.
