Determine plating techniques and create food decorations. Ensure appropriate portion sizes, plating, and garnishing for service. Monitor the quantity of food currently being prepared. Inform the food and beverage service team about menu items removed from the menu and the number of available specialties. Prepare special dishes or substitute ingredients. Assist cooks and the kitchen brigade with various tasks. Provide items required by cooks. Monitor kitchen supply and food inventory levels. Maintain up-to-date kitchen logs for food safety programs and food inventory. Guarantee food quality and notify management immediately if any product fails to meet specifications. Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, reinforcing disciplinary rules, motivating, and mentoring employees. Follow and implement all company safety and security policies and procedures; report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and hazardous working conditions to the supervisor; complete all required safety training and certifications. Wear a clean and complete uniform at all times; maintain a neat and professional appearance while on duty; respect confidentiality regarding brand- and/or hotel-specific information and protect all company assets. Respond promptly to guest service requests. Use clear and courteous language in all communications. Develop positive and constructive professional relationships with peers; collaborate and support one another to achieve shared goals; listen and respond appropriately to other employees’ concerns. Uphold quality requirements and standards. Be accustomed to standing, sitting, and moving for extended periods. Be able to perform knee extension and flexion movements, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place loads weighing up to 12 kilograms independently. Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisors that are consistent with this position. QUALIFICATIONS RECOMMENDED Education: Diploma from a technical, vocational, or professional educational institution. Related Work Experience: 4 to 6 years of related work experience. Supervisory Experience: At least 2 years of supervisory experience.
