Confirm guests’ reservation requirements and determine appropriate room types. Verify room type and rate availability. Explain guarantee, special rate, and cancellation policies to guests. Respond to and record special requests. Answer questions regarding hotel facilities, services, and rooms. Apply sales techniques to maximize revenue. Access the reservation system and enter data. Input correct codes and rates into the reservation system, including special room reservation types (e.g., complimentary stays, employee discounts, travel agent familiarization rates, wholesale reservations, etc.). Follow appropriate escalation procedures when addressing guest concerns. Adhere to all company policies and procedures. Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional. Protect company assets and safeguard the privacy and security of guests and employees. Welcome and express appreciation to all guests in accordance with company standards. Anticipate and address guests’ service needs. Communicate clearly and professionally with others. Handle telephone calls with proper etiquette. Build and maintain positive relationships with other employees; support the team to achieve common goals; listen to and appropriately respond to other employees’ concerns. Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance.
