Requires MCSE Certification and 3-5 years of relevant experience **Junior Systems Administrator** **Industry: FMCG** **Systems Administrator Responsibilities:** * Selecting the best possible solutions using knowledge of a wide range of available technologies. * **Experienced in MS Azure cloud environments.** * **Experienced in Amazon infrastructure.** * Monitoring systems in the existing network to ensure there are no productivity set\-backs. * Installing and configuring operating systems and application software. * Implementing best practices for system security and data backups. * Anticipating potential issues or bottlenecks and identifying possible solutions. * Troubleshooting and resolving all technical issues when they arise. * Communicating effectively with IT staff to ensure the setup process runs smoothly. * Liaising with vendors and keeping relevant stakeholders up to date with developments. * Configuring and maintaining the networked computer system, including hardware, system software, and applications. * Ensuring data is stored securely and backed up regularly. * Diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, networking, and system issues when they arise. * Replacing and upgrading defective or outdated components when necessary. * Monitoring system performance to ensure everything runs smoothly and securely. * Researching and recommending new approaches to improve the networked computer system. * Documenting any processes which employees need to follow in order to successfully work within our computing system. * Testing of new installations, ensuring test logs/registers are kept up to date * Preparation of documentation to define solutions or configurations, including technical schematics and drawings * Assist the engineering team in the planning, design, development, integration, commission and test of systems * Deliver effective technology solutions that meet given specifications with review and mentoring by others in the team **Systems Administrator role:** * Proven track record of installing, configuring, and troubleshooting UNIX/ LINUX/ Windows based systems. * Experience creating scripts and setting up software for automation. * Exceptional knowledge of **networking technologies (OSI network layers, TCP/IP).** * Familiarity with administration, performance tuning, and system monitoring. * Good communication skills (written, verbal, and face\-to\-face). * Past experience administering server\-side technology and networked computing systems. * Ability to prioritize a wide range of workloads with critical deadlines. * Availability outside of working hours to resolve emergency issues promptly. * Excellent critical thinking and problem\-solving skills. * Patient and professional demeanor, with a can\-do attitude. * Familiarity with **SQL and database operations.** **Requirements** * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Networking, and Hardware or IT related field. * **MCSE Certification.** * 3\-5 years of working in a field or relevant position with max. 10 years total experience. * Ability to diagnose hardware and troubleshoot technical issues. * Good oral and written communication skills. * Strong technical knowledge in networking/ server systems. * Strong analytical skills. * Ability to prioritize and manage tasks. * Excellent time management and problem\-solving skills. * Exceptional customer service skills.
