**Job Overview:** EGEC Qatar for Engineering Consultations W.L.L. is seeking a highly qualified **Senior Biomedical Engineer** with solid experience in medical construction projects, laboratory environments, and biomedical systems. The successful candidate will lead technical evaluations, oversee equipment installation, and support the delivery of high\-quality healthcare infrastructure across specialized lab and medical facilities. This is a **strategic, hands\-on role** that combines biomedical engineering expertise with cross\-disciplinary project coordination and field supervision. **Key Responsibilities:** * Oversee the **installation, commissioning, testing, and calibration** of biomedical equipment in compliance with regulatory and safety standards * Review and assess **shop drawings, material submittals, and technical documentation**, ensuring alignment with project specifications * Evaluate and manage service contracts, maintenance schedules, and vendor performance * Provide **training and operational support** to clinical and technical staff on equipment handling, care, and safety protocols * Coordinate with architecture, MEP, and design teams regarding **lab specifications, medical systems layout, and equipment integration** * Ensure compliance with **infection control**, safety codes, and environmental health standards in medical/laboratory settings * Supervise inventory control and ensure timely procurement and delivery of medical/lab devices * Provide expert input during **design review** phases for medical projects **Required Qualifications:** * B.Sc. in Biomedical Engineering, Medical Technology, or equivalent * **Minimum 10 years** of specialized experience in biomedical engineering * **12\+ years** of total professional experience * Experience in **healthcare/laboratory construction projects** is essential * Familiarity with **chemical labs, specialized medical equipment, MEP systems, and lab furniture requirements** * Proven ability to work with **design teams and contractors** to align biomedical infrastructure with operational needs **Technical Skills:** * Strong understanding of **AutoCAD and Revit** for lab design, technical coordination, and BIM documentation * Solid knowledge of **documentation workflows**, equipment calibration, and clinical lab testing * Experience in preventive maintenance planning, SOP development, and compliance reporting * Analytical and reporting skills with a focus on safety, quality, and operational performance **Preferred Candidate Profile:** * **Based in Qatar or has previous experience in Qatar – This is a must** * Available for **immediate or short\-notice joining** * Excellent English communication skills; Arabic is a plus * Strong team player with leadership ability in multidisciplinary project teams Job Type: Full\-time Application Question(s): * Do you have previous experience in handling general medical construction projects? * Do you have previous experience with medical equipment, especially those related to laboratories? * Do you have knowledge of the requirements for different types of laboratories based on the chemicals used in them? * Do you have knowledge of the finishing specifications for various kinds of labs? * Do you understand the MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) requirements for different types of labs? * Do you have knowledge of lab furniture specifications? * Are you capable of reviewing designs, material submittals, and shop drawings? * Do you have the ability to work with AutoCAD (preferably)? * Do you have an experience in engineering consultations companies? * What is your ability to join? * What is your current salary? * What is your expected salary? * How many years of experience do you have in Qatar?
