Provide technical guidance and support for mechanical-related issues. **Job Summary:** The Site Mechanical Engineer is responsible for overseeing and managing all mechanical aspects of construction projects on\-site. This role involves ensuring that mechanical installations (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, etc.) are executed in accordance with design specifications, quality standards, and project timelines. **Key Responsibilities:** * **Project Execution \& Supervision:** * Supervise and monitor all mechanical works on\-site, including HVAC systems, plumbing, drainage, fire fighting systems, and other mechanical installations. * Oversee the quality of workmanship and materials used by contractors and subcontractors. * **Coordination \& Communication:** * Coordinate mechanical work with other trades (civil, electrical, architectural) to ensure seamless integration and avoid clashes. * Liaise with the design team to resolve any on\-site design discrepancies or technical issues. * **Quality Assurance \& Control:** * Conduct regular site inspections and walkthroughs to identify and document any non\-conformities or deficiencies in mechanical installations. * Witness and verify various mechanical tests (e.g., pressure testing, duct leakage testing, functional performance tests) and commissioning activities. * **Progress Monitoring \& Reporting:** * Monitor the progress of mechanical works against the project schedule and report any potential delays. * Prepare and submit regular progress reports, daily logs, and other required documentation. * Track and manage changes to the mechanical scope, including variations and change orders. * **Problem Solving \& Technical Support:** * Provide technical guidance and support to site teams to resolve mechanical\-related issues. * Recommend solutions for design or construction challenges on\-site. * **Safety \& Compliance:** * Promote a safety\-conscious culture among all personnel involved in mechanical installations. **Qualifications:** * Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. * Consultancy Experience. * 12 years of progressive experience as a Site Mechanical Engineer in construction projects. * Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and fire protection systems. * Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings, schematics, and specifications. * Experience with BIM software like Revit is a plus. **Skills:** * Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills. * Strong problem\-solving and analytical abilities. * Meticulous attention to detail and quality. * Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines. * Strong organizational and time\-management skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
