Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for schedule alignment. **Job Description – Planning Engineer (Oil \& Gas)** **Position:** Planning Engineer **Location:** Qatar **Job Summary** We are seeking a skilled **Planning Engineer** to join our Oil \& Gas project team in Qatar. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and monitoring project schedules to ensure timely and cost\-effective project delivery. The role requires close coordination with project management, engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams throughout the project lifecycle. **Key Responsibilities** * Develop, update, and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6\. * Prepare baseline schedules, work breakdown structures (WBS), and project execution plans. * Monitor project progress and analyze schedule performance against planned milestones. * Identify schedule risks, delays, and critical path activities, and recommend corrective actions. * Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, look\-ahead schedules, and project dashboards. * Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams to ensure schedule alignment. * Support project management in resource planning and project forecasting. * Conduct schedule impact analysis and assist in evaluating change orders and variations. * Ensure compliance with project specifications, contractual requirements, and company procedures. * Participate in project review meetings and provide planning and scheduling updates. **Qualifications** * Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Planning or related engineering discipline preferred). * Proven experience as a Planning Engineer in the Oil \& Gas industry. * Experience working on EPIC (Engineering, Procurement, Installation, and Construction) projects. * Proficiency in **Primavera P6** (preferred); knowledge of Microsoft Project is an advantage. * Strong understanding of project planning, scheduling, progress measurement, and reporting. * Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. * Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary project environment.
