Summary: Seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer with extensive experience in the maintenance and troubleshooting of rotary equipment within the petrochemical and oil & gas industry. Highlights: 1. Expert in rotary equipment maintenance, including alignment and overhauling. 2. Proficient in precision measuring tools and field inspection techniques. 3. Contributes to root cause analysis and reliability improvement projects. #### **Key Responsibilities** **1\. Maintenance \& Technical Activities** * Carry\-out Rotary equipment Maintenance related jobs like alignment, overhauling of pumps, turbines, compressors (centrifugal/Reciprocating), gear boxes, agitators etc. * Troubleshooting the problems in the Pumps, compressor, steam / Gas turbine, Agitator, gear box etc. * To review the Mechanical drawings, P\&ID and data sheet and troubleshoot the Mechanical problems. **2\. Inspection \& Measurement** * Proficient in using precision measuring tools, including calipers and gauges to conduct field inspection of critical rotating equipment and report observations to area reliability engineers. * Monitor as per instruction the measurements of clearances / tolerances maintained in preventive and corrective maintenance. * May participate with maintenance in using a wide range of measuring instruments such as Micrometer, Vernier calipers, depth gauge, feeler gauge, Telescopic Gauges etc. **3\. Root Cause Analysis (RCA) Support** * Assist in the root cause analysis of the failures by collecting maintenance data, studying, reviewing of drawings, documents, and history of the Mechanical equipment’s. * Provide extensive assistance to Sr. Reliability Engineer in carrying out Root Cause Analysis of failures related to rotating equipment in refinery through on field support for collection of failure evidence and findings. * Maintain records about the Root cause analysis studies and monitor effectiveness of the study from time to time. **4\. Field Monitoring \& Coordination** * Assist in monitoring the progress of maintenance related activities in the field as per instructions from Sr. reliability Engineer. * As per instructions, monitors selective field preventive/corrective maintenance work on all types of Rotary equipment and records all the activities / findings from case\-to\-case basis. * Act as a field coordinator for reliability department with other maintenance disciplines, Operations \& Inspection. * Provide feedback Sr. Reliability Engineer on equipment restored back to functional \& good operating condition. * Ensure that reliability \& RCA recommendations are implemented. **5\. Maintenance Execution Support** * Receives verbal / written instructions from Sr. Reliability Engineer for participation / assistance in Maintenance related activities with Maintenance Team on Rotating Equipment Pumps, Compressors, Steam/Gas turbines, Air fans, Mixers, Turbo Machinery etc. installed at Qatar energy Refinery process at various locations. * If required, assist in follow\-up on permits related to his activities under the supervision of Sr. Reliability Engineer. * The activity may include but not limited to witnessing \& recording disassembly, defective parts identification, and replacement with new parts like bearings \& seal replacement, alignment correction, etc. * If required, participate as a support in shutdown work with maintenance team from time to time and keeps record of all the assigned Maintenance Tasks and provides feedback to Sr. Reliability Engineer. **6\. Projects \& Subcontract Monitoring** * Assist in field monitoring of reliability improvement projects on rotating equipment with feedback. * If required as per instructions monitor the subcontract repair of rotating equipment. **7\. SAP \& Documentation** * To use SAP as per reliability requirement for checking the details of work orders / notifications, for checking the spares used, material reservations made for the assigned work orders etc. * Prepare reports about the test results/findings and maintaining the records. **8\. Safety, Environment \& Compliance** * Ensures that his activities are adhered to as per company environmental, health and safety procedures. * Housekeep awareness is mandatory. **9\. Additional Technical Tasks** * Collect of transformer oil samples from transformers for testing. #### **Qualifications \& Experience** **Education:** Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. **Experience:** * Minimum Ten (10\) years of experience in installation, testing, commissioning and maintenance of Rotating equipment’s such as single / Multistage Centrifugal pump, compressor, reciprocating pumps compressor, Steam \& Gas Turbine, Gear box, Mechanical Seal, Antifriction bearing, journal bearings, Tilting pad bearings * Petrochemical /Oil \& Gas/ Chemical industry experience * To review the Mechanical drawings, P\&ID and data sheet and troubleshoot the Mechanical problems. * Should have good knowledge in MS office and SAP experience * Good command in English and Computer. **Age limit:** Not over the age of forty\-five (45\) years. **Job Category:** Technician **Job Type:** Full Time **Company:** Almuftah Contracting \- Oil \& Gas **Location:** Ras Laffan
