Mentor and develop engineering and detailing teams **Position:** Technical Manager – Steel Structures \& Prefabricated Buildings **Location:** Doha, Qatar **Industry:** Steel Structures \& Prefabricated Buildings **Job Summary** We are seeking an experienced and results\-driven Technical Manager to lead and oversee all technical activities related to the design, engineering, detailing, and execution of steel structure and prefabricated building projects. The ideal candidate will ensure that projects are technically sound, compliant with applicable standards, and delivered efficiently while coordinating effectively with internal departments and clients. **Key Responsibilities** * Lead and manage the Engineering and Technical Department for steel structure and prefabricated building projects. * Review and approve structural designs, calculations, shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and erection drawings. * Coordinate with clients, consultants, architects, and project teams to resolve technical issues and obtain approvals. * Ensure compliance with project specifications, international codes, and client requirements. * Provide technical guidance and support to project managers, production teams, procurement, and site personnel. * Monitor engineering schedules and ensure timely submission of technical documents. * Review material specifications and support value engineering initiatives to optimize project costs. * Oversee design changes, technical queries, and non\-conformance resolutions. * Participate in project planning meetings and provide technical input during tendering and execution stages. * Identify opportunities for process improvement and implementation of best engineering practices. * Mentor and develop engineering and detailing teams to enhance technical capabilities. **Requirements** * Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline. * Minimum 10–15 years of experience in steel structures and prefabricated building projects. * Strong knowledge of structural design principles, fabrication processes, and erection methodologies. * Proficiency in engineering and detailing software such as AutoCAD, Tekla Structures, STAAD Pro, ETABS, or similar applications. * Excellent understanding of international codes and standards related to steel structures. * Proven leadership and team management skills. * Strong communication, coordination, and problem\-solving abilities. * GCC experience is preferred.
