This role ensures that printed materials meet quality standards, production schedules, and client specifications. The ideal candidate has an eye for color consistency, detail, and mechanical aptitude. **Key ResponsibilitiesProduction \& Operation** * Set up, calibrate, and operate printing presses (e.g., digital toner, inkjet, offset, or wide\-format). * Load substrates (paper, vinyl, cardstock, etc.) and manage ink/toner levels. * Monitor print jobs for color accuracy, registration, density, and overall quality. * Perform routine press maintenance and minor troubleshooting to minimize downtime. **Quality Control \& Finishing** * Inspect printed samples against proofs using densitometers, spectrophotometers, or visual checks. * Identify and correct common defects (e.g., streaking, ghosting, mis\-registration). * Operate finishing equipment (cutters, folders, binders, laminators) as needed. **Workflow \& Documentation** * Interpret job tickets for quantities, paper types, bleeds, and finishing requirements. * Log production data, material usage, and machine maintenance in print MIS/ERP system. * Maintain a clean, safe, and organized pressroom area. **Collaboration** * Work with prepress to resolve file issues (fonts, resolution, color spaces). * Communicate delays or quality concerns to supervisors or customer service teams. **QualificationsRequired** * High school diploma or equivalent. * 1\+ years of experience operating digital or offset presses (or relevant trade school training). * Basic color theory knowledge and ability to match PMS/CMYK colors. * Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods. * Attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive quality checks. **Preferred** * Experience with specific brands (e.g., Heidelberg, Xerox, Canon, HP Indigo, Komori, Ryobi). * Familiarity with imposition software (e.g., Fiery, Prinergy, Caldera). * Understanding of bindery and post\-press processes.
