Work closely with editors, journalists, and communications specialists About the Role The Diplomatic Insight Media and Research Services is a media, research and strategic communications organization focused on international affairs, diplomacy, public policy, geopolitical developments and regional economic trends. We are seeking an experienced and analytical **Senior Policy Research Analyst** to join our research and editorial team in Doha. The successful candidate will lead policy research projects, assess regional and international developments and produce clear, evidence\-based reports for government, corporate, academic and media audiences. This role requires strong research, writing and critical\-thinking abilities, together with a thorough understanding of public policy, diplomacy, international relations and geopolitical risk. Key Responsibilities **Policy Research:** Conduct in\-depth research on political, economic, diplomatic, social and regulatory developments affecting Qatar, the Gulf region and international markets. **Policy Analysis:** Evaluate public policies, government initiatives, legislation and regional developments to identify potential implications for institutions, businesses and communities. **Report Preparation:** Produce policy briefs, research papers, executive summaries, background reports, briefing notes and strategic assessments. **Geopolitical Monitoring:** Track regional conflicts, diplomatic relations, elections, economic policies, trade developments and emerging geopolitical risks. **Source Verification:** Review and validate information from government publications, official statements, academic studies, international organizations and reputable media sources. **Data Interpretation:** Analyze qualitative and quantitative information to identify patterns, risks, opportunities and policy outcomes. **Editorial Collaboration:** Work closely with editors, journalists, researchers and communications specialists to ensure published content is accurate, balanced and well supported. **Stakeholder Engagement:** Conduct interviews and consultations with policymakers, diplomats, academics, industry experts and representatives of international organizations. **Research Leadership:** Guide junior researchers, review analytical outputs and support the development of research methodologies and quality standards. **Presentations and Briefings:** Present research findings to senior management, clients, institutional partners and external stakeholders. **Project Management:** Coordinate research projects, manage deadlines, monitor deliverables and ensure that outputs meet agreed objectives. **Strategic Recommendations:** Translate research findings into practical recommendations for decision\-makers and organizational leaders. What We Are Looking For * Bachelor’s degree in International Relations, Political Science, Public Policy, Economics, Law, Journalism or a related discipline. * Master’s degree is preferred. * Minimum of 5 years of experience in policy research, international affairs, geopolitical analysis, public policy, journalism or strategic consulting. * Strong knowledge of Gulf, Middle Eastern and international political and economic developments. * Demonstrated experience producing policy briefs, analytical reports and executive\-level research. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Strong critical\-thinking, analytical and problem\-solving abilities. * Ability to assess complex information and present findings clearly. * Strong attention to detail and commitment to factual accuracy. * Ability to manage several research assignments and deadlines. * Excellent written and spoken English. * Arabic language proficiency is considered a strong advantage.
